Yes, we work closely with contractors and/or homeowners to ensure your product is ready on time.  However, there are occasional variables that can delay production slightly.

We strive to please our customers and communicate with them throughout their building progress to make sure their products will arrive on time.  Typically, we accommodate requested delivery date and time.

Most of our products are custom order.  Therefore, our inventory is mostly rough, dried lumber that is ready to be run into flooring or moulding. 

We pride ourselves in producing the best quality wood products which requires a multi-step process – logging trees, milling into rough lumber, kiln drying (takes 3-4 weeks), sorting by grade, straight edging, running through moulding machine, quality checking, bundling and ready for shipping. 

Length of time from order placement to delivery is dependent upon many variables:

1. Type of wood species (availability at time of order—we may have what you want already dried in our inventory but if we do not it could take 3 to 4 weeks before it is ready for production.) 
2. Size of order (total number of square feet or lineal feet)  
3. Type of product (tongue and groove flooring, shiplap and car siding are common orders and we keep these knives on hand.  However, for certain moulding profiles we may not have the knives on hand, so that may add an additional week.). 

Some orders can have a 2-week turn around, where other orders may require several months. 

Larger orders are usually placed a month or two in advance—typically new home construction order may be initiated shortly after breaking ground or framing has begun. 

It is best to call or email us with your interests so we can give you an estimate on time.

Shipping is FREE for most orders within a 3 hour radius.  Customers are always welcome to pickup order at our mill or we can arrange a meet and transfer.  Otherwise, we can ship any products anywhere in the US—shipping cost will be determined based upon freight costs and will be negotiated with customer.

We do not sell or supply finishing products.  We are happy to give suggestions based on our knowledge of wood species and how it accepts stains, as well as type of topcoat to use based on customer preference for matte or gloss appearance.  We do offer raw wood samples for customers to experiment with different stains and finishes.

We do not finish or install any products.  Products will be delivered bundled as raw, wood tongue and groove flooring, plank flooring, crown moulding, baseboard, door or window casing, S4S, carsiding, wainscoting or other application.  It is up to either the customer or contractor to prep, paint or stain wood themselves. If we have a greater request for finished products, we will consider adding this to our services in the future. 

Note (Shiplap): It is easier to paint shiplap and mouldings prior to installation. (We have found laying a few pieces across a couple sawhorses and then either spraying with an airless spray gun or painting with brush makes for a smooth and quick process.)

Note (Flooring): There are carpentry sub-specialists who only lay and finish floors.  In our opinion, wood floors that have been installed, sanded, stained and then finished with a protective coat have a superior look to floors that have been pre-finished and then laid.
